Local Ghost
Local Ghost
Four boys from the Nooksack delta making rock and roll type noises. Their sound is classic rock-influenced, groove-based, psychedelic-flavored, and songwriting-focused. Debut album "Momentum" coming this spring.
Garrett and the Sheriffs
Garrett and the Sheriffs
A band born around a campfire. That is essentially what it comes down to when talking about Garrett and the Sheriffs. After working together at a beloved summer camp, Garrett Hendricks, Peter Erickson, Sarah Elder, and Danny Grasseschi formed Garrett and the Sheriffs out of a communal love of music. The birth of the band out of vivid summers spent in the great outdoors gives their music a rootsy grit and an organic soul. With influences ranging from the Zac Brown Band, The Lumineers, Johnny Cash Springsteen, and other greats, Garrett and the Sheriffs embrace the rich history of American music while always looking forward. After gaining a foothold in Bellingham the band moved to Seattle where they garnered the attention of indie label, Weingartner Phonogram Company and partnered with them to release their debut, "Turn the Tide." Now joined by keyboardist, Brian Reding, and percussionist, Rebecca Erickson, Garrett and the Sheriffs plan on taking their rugged Americana music to the rest of Washington and hopefully beyond.
Willie Reavis and his Weary Band
Willie Reavis and his Weary Band
he band formed in early 2016 after the folkrock band Moongrass decided to disband. Willie Reavis was born and raised in Whatcom County but his sound is distinctly that of the south. His grandfather was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas and was known to be a gospel and bluegrass singer. Willie's southern roots certainly come through in his music and songwriting style. Many have described the band as a step back in time to the honky tonk and juke joint music of the 50's. The band consists of Willie Reavis (guitar & harmonica), Tom Mckay (bass), Cole Melcher (lap steel), Taylor Merlina (Guitar & Mandolin), Eli Watson (drums), and Arielle Luckmann (Fiddle). Recently the boys have begun collaborating with Skagit County singer/songwriter Matney Cook (of The Mudflat Walkers) - who brings her lovely voice and talent to the band.
